Community Service: Safe Harbor - Walk to End It

Human trafficking is happening in the United States, right here in Virginia. Our proximity to large airports and waterways, access to major highways, and a high number of military bases make our state extremely accessible. As awareness grows, and stricter legislation goes into effect, traffickers and trafficking rings are beginning to face more criminal repercussions. Yet, what happens to the victims? Safe Harbor’s programs are necessary to overcome the numerous boundaries it takes to start a new life. We have decided to lead a team in the” Walk to End It” to increase local awareness and raise much needed funding to directly support the needs of survivors to rehabilitate their lives and heal from trauma. Together we will help save and change lives!

When:
Saturday, September 30 at 8:00 a.m.

Where:
The Pier at Libbie Mill
Libbie Lake E St
Richmond, VA 23230

We are looking for volunteers to help pack swag bags. The Swag Bag Packing Event will be Thursday, September 28th from 5pm – 7pm at Safe Harbor’s Community Office (2006 Bremo Road, Suite 202, Richmond, VA 23226). If you would like to volunteer - click here.
