Scholarship

VSAE is committed to building and sustaining a diverse and inclusive Association that encourages and supports professional development and leadership opportunities for underrepresented groups within VSAE and Virginia's association community, including but not limited to underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, and/or disabilities. Consistent with this vision, VSAE desires to award a limited number of scholarships to deserving applicants for the 2024-2025 ALV program, subject to available funding.

Each ALV scholarship funds up to $800 of the tuition expense for qualified individuals to attend the 2024-2025 ALV program. The remainder of the tuition expense, as well as any transportation and lodging expenses, are the individual's responsibility. Indicate your interest in being considered for a scholarship on the online application form.

Eligibility

The ALV scholarship provides tuition assistance to association professionals from within VSAE and Virginia's association community. Candidates may be new to association management or have experience in the field. VSAE members shall receive preference for scholarships.

Applications will be evaluated based upon:

  • how receiving a scholarship will benefit both the applicant and their organization
  • how participating in ALV supports VSAE's commitment to a diverse and inclusive association
  • Demonstrated financial need
