Every year the Richmond Area Bicycling Association, through its RABA Foundation (a 501-c3 organization), raises money to purchase bicycles to donate to area Christmas Mothers so they can give them to kids less fortunate in our community. The program provided 600 bikes in 2017 and 2018! With your support we can achieve our goal of buying more than 800 bikes, assembling and delivering them to be distributed to those who need them.

I am still accepting donations for Bikes for Kids during the entire month of October. This year more than ever it’s important to get kids outside, active and to help those in need. The charity provides brand new bikes to Christmas Mothers of the Capitol Region who give them to families in need. Our goal is to buy 366 new bikes and helmets.

When:
Tuesday, November 17, 2020
2:00 p.m. - until the bikes are built

Where:
Ruggles Service Corp.
2209 Dickens Rd
Richmond, VA 23230

Skills? No bike mechanic skills are required, and tools will be provided. But if you have tools like multi-sized Allen wrenches, flat and Phillips head screw drivers, bike stand, work gloves, etc. please bring them. Positive, team-oriented, can-do and attention-to-detail spirits are greatly desired!

Wear: Layered, warm clothing and comfortable/supportive shoes. We will assemble little 12 bikes outside in the parking lot. Be prepared for possible cold temperatures.

If youd like to make a donation to help the Richmond Area Bicycling Association (RABA) reach the goal of 800 bikes CLICK HERE and make your secure donation thru PayPal. Any amount you can give helps. Large bikes for teenagers cost about $100, mid-size bikes $75 and small bikes $50. Remember, your donations are tax deductible.
