Seminar: "Unconscious Bias-Making the Unconscious Conscious"

Many organizations have provided training on unconscious bias for their employees with great success.  Once employees are aware of their unconscious biases, however, they are not always clear on what they can do to reduce the impact of those biases in the workplace.  This session will provide practical tips and approaches that organizations can implement to help employees make better, bias-free decisions.

Key Takeaways
By completion of the engagement, participants will:

  • Express an increased awareness of why organizations should be committed to diversity and inclusion.
  • Reflect on ways that all employees benefit from an inclusive workplace.
  • Consider individual actions that can be taken to foster inclusion.
  • Build comfort in discussing issues of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Breakfast Presentation: "Foundation of Diversity & Inclusion"

The terms diversity and inclusion are often used interchangeably, but in actuality the words have different meanings. This conversation will help participants explore and unpack the difference between the two terms and will engage participants in an opportunity to self-reflect on their own foundations of diversity & inclusion.
